The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced that the Council of Ministers approved the increase in prices of petroleum products starting at 9 am on Friday.
The Ministry of Petroleum said in a statement that it was decided to raise the price of gasoline 92 to 8 pounds per liter from 6.75 pounds, and gasoline 80 lowest quality to 6.75 pounds from 5.50 pounds.
The ministry said that the price of gasoline 95 increased to nine pounds per liter from 7.75 pounds, and diesel rose to 6.75 pounds per liter from 5.50 pounds.
The price of gas cylinders rose from 50 pounds to 65 pounds for domestic use and from 100 pounds to 130 pounds for commercial use, the statement said.
The price of diesel fuel for the manufacture of bricks and cement to the price of tons to 4500 pounds instead of 3500 pounds per tonne in the past.
The government kept the price of diesel fuel for the food and electricity industries unchanged.
